The final of The Mole
The final of
The Mole is on tonight. I'm feeling pretty clueless about who it is. Rob is still thinkin' it is 'farm boy' (Shaun) and that there is no way it's the girl. Like I said, I have no idea. Every time I think I have a clue that person gets eliminated. oh well, we will find out tonight.
I went to a new doctor this weekend. She is so awesome. First thing I noticed about her was that she was wearing a Powerpuff Girls watch. gotta love that in a doctor. She seems to think that my break-outs and moodiness are related (too much testosterone, I am forever a tomboy!) and that it can be fixed naturally. cool. So I am going back for tests (when I'm at a different place in my cycle). But for now she has me on some vitamins (big doses of all the B vitamins and a few other things) So there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I'm on holidays from class right now. Two whole weeks with my nights free.
Whoo-hoo!
SO I get to see the return of Jamie's Kitchen and find out what happened at 15. AND Iron Chef is starting up here too. But then again the new Peaches CD is out and I am so addicted to her, and I'm almost don't with my knitting sampler and I want to start a proper sweater, and Weird Al is playing next week, so good god what am I gonna do???? I might just have to call in sick to work....shhh....

a funny thing happened on the way to the film
So I mentioned before that we went to see American Splendor. (again, go see it)
While waiting for the film to start Rob and I were watching the prefilm commercials and eating the required bucket-o-popcorn when this ad came up.
not just any ad.
It was an ad for canned tongues. Yes, canned tongues.
At the movies!!! WTF?
And to top the whole thing off they described the canned tongues as (and I'm not kidding) a 'taste sensation' Again, WTF?
Who thought of that copy? And who approved it?
sheesh.

See it this week. Don't wait, see it before it goes away.
It's dark, very real, and unbelievably, different.
you can thank me later.

ok, I'm sick of this shit.
I'm fucking 33 years old and I swear to you I break out worse than most teenagers. I can't wear anything low cut cuz my chest is full of zits. very pretty. But at least it mathces my chin, forehead, and neck. and it is meant to be really sunny this weekend, but I won't be able to be wear any tank tops/singlets/. fuckin' hell. And I swear, the stuff that the doctor told me to use makes the whole situation worse. Depression be damned, I'm going back on the pill.

I don't offend easily. I
I don't offend easily.
I (moslty) like off colour jokes.
I think that people get themselves into too much trouble by getting bent out of shape by random comments.
than I saw this ad for Lovable lingerie on TV (click on the 'view' button if you want, it requires Windows Media Player) I can't seem to get it to work, maybe you can....
To those who have seen this ad, waddya think? Am I being too sensitive to the 'nice tits' comment? Or am I right in thinking that they are forgetting that it is mostly women who buy bras and undies and by offending us they are biting the hand!?!?!?!

but DAVID BOWIE is going to be on ROVE tonight!!!! I am going to veg in front of the TV with a beer.

the Syndey housing market is very depressing.
we make good money. we pay our bills. but still we can't afford a place in Sydney. average house prices in out area are $1 million+ region. yikes!! units are still in the $400K and up area. man, we are going to end up out in whoop-whoop.
(let's hope for a real estate bust.)
but hey, on to good things.
I'm about 1/2 way through my knitting sampler. wow, this thing is amazing. if you knit and you don't have The Sweater Workshop. (Nicola, are you listening???) get it! (or review it in your knitting magazine!)
oh, and I just saw the ad today. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is coming to Sydney!!! whoo-hoo! channel 10 got the rights to it. I will be very interested to see Australia's reaction to it. I was really hoping that they would do an Aussie version of it, but it looks like they are just playing the American one.
I had my most successful eBay auction. I found this Coach bag at the local Salvo for $2 and just look what it went for! whoo-hoo.

oh, lookie, LJ has a new layout. It will take me a few days to figure all of this out.
Looks like some local foxes are gonna get the morning after pill . I wonder if they are going to get quizzed sex life too.
I've been so absent this week not just because of school, work, the hubby, and the very demanding furry boy, but because of the package that my Mom sent to us. I got the
knitting book I ordered from Amazon (sweater knitting here I come!).
BUT
I also got a stack of videos (no really, a stack) that she has been lovingly recording for the last few months for us. We have a bunch of episodes of MST3K and the first 4 or 5 episodes of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
And from my understanding channel 7 was going to pick it up but they have scrapped the project, I'm so glad the sent them to me! Maybe I should have a 'Queer Eye' showing at my place.
Good thing we have this haze over Sydney this weekend, I don't feel so guilty staying home watching videos. hee-hee.
oh, and I totally scored this week at the local Salvo. I picked up a few bags to eBay, including a Coach leather bag and a retro type bowling bag. cheap as chips too. coming soon to an auction hear you!.
