Today is the first day of my last week in my current role.
WHOO-HOO!! Can you tell I'm a little excited? I really just want to slack off this week. It is so hard to stay motivated when you know you wont be there next week. No to mention I have 2 more Christmas parties this week! My poor liver.
Last night was the swanky company Christmas party. It wasn't too painful. The space where they held is beautiful. It did get a little cramped when everyone showed up. I did get lots of handshakes and congratulations about my new role. I think they have high hopes for me in this role. (a little scary, but in a good way). And with us opening new stores next year (one in Melbourne and one in Brisbane so far) I should get to do a little travel too! Bonus! I told the general manager that if they ever need someone to go to Chicago for any reason I'm the girl.
My last final is tomorrow night. I think we might go out for a beer after. (Yikes, more drinking) I'll be studying tonight. Until Queer Eye starts of course! It should be pretty easy, it is open book after all. And then I am done until next year. Wow, I can't believe that I've made it through my first semester unscathed.
I need to stop slacking off and go to work now.
Really.
