My hubby is too good.
He brought home the new Star Wars DVD so I have something to watch while I rest and try to get over this flu.
Ain't he sweet?

So things have taken a
So things have taken a bit of a turn in the last day or so....
I was feeling really crappy at work yesterday so I booked in to see my doctor on my way home from work. He takes a listen to my chest and tells me that I have some sort of virus and I should spend the next 3 days sleeping. And that all the nasty colds that I've had over the last few months are probably the same virus. yikes!
If I'm not feeling better by Wednesday I'm meant to go back so he can run some tests. Apparently there are some nasty things going around Sydney at the moment.
So here I am with my laptop watching way too much daytime TV (a fate worse than death!). Luckily I do have some knitting to do so I wont be bored out of my skull. Let's hope I stop hacking things up soon (yeah, I know, TMI).
But hopefully this R and R will get me on the right road. Doc says it can take 2 to 3 MONTHS to really get over a virus. yikes!
I'm going back to rest more now...

Big congrats to Sam and
Big congrats to Sam and Matt on their wedding. IT was a beautiful day and she looked wonderful (I'm sure you'll a agree) They are now off for a few days of R and R on Lord Howe Island.
I'm going to have to get used to calling her by her new name, very cool. I'm not really sure what was said when this shot was taken, but I'm sure it was pretty silly.

And yes, I'm still sick. I think I've pushed myself too much this week, so today I've just been sleeping and watching reruns. How long so you have to be sick with cold/flu syptoms before you should go see a doctor?
I think I need a cup of tea.

CONGRATS KRIS AND THE SNOOK! We are so happy that they two of you have decied to take the plunge in Vegas. whoo-hoo!
On an entrely different note. I'm 1/2 way through my first Trauma Teddy. If anyone in Sydney is interested in knitting a Teddy (or two..) over Christmas/New Years just let me know. Or if you have any 8-ply wool or acylic yarn in your stash you would like to donate...all donations would be greatly appreciated.

Holy Crap. Dan just got booted off Idol. that's just nuts. And I thought that the 12 year old girlie vite would carry him to the final 3. go figure. (I think it's cuz he sang a Creed song. That's enought to curse anyone)

wow, things have been really
wow, things have been really crazy 'round here.
I've had a Bachelorette party (which included karaoke), way too much drinking at a bridal shower, our 4 year wedding anniversary, an author evening (Lynne Truss), knitting, work, school, etc.
But the highlight of the last few weeks was the Spiderbait show last night. (Spiderbait If you don't know them I highly suggest going out and getting 2 or 3 of their CDs. Amy C., you listening??) Kram, the drummer/singer, is a monster on stage. How the hell does one man with such a thick beard sustain that much energy?Crazy stuff. And Janet. Well, what can you say about Janet English? She's hot beyond belief. She sings, plays some funky-ass base and goes off! Oh, and the guitarist rips it. I don't know his name but man, he's great. I just love a 3 piece that can pull off a huge sound, ya know?
And a link about the new William Shatner CD. Look at whose on it! Ben Folds, Aimee Mann, Joe Jackson, and Henry Rollins. wow.
Lastly, and probably most importantly, as of October the 6th at 7pm we will be Australian citizens. Not in time to vote in this election, but that at least it is happening. (Ok, I must admit, I am kind of happy that I get to vote in one last US election so I can help give Bushy Boy the heave-ho) So does this mean that I am finally a local?
