Pigs Flew Today
Get this, Nike is pulling the 'Major Threat' ad campaign and has issued an "apology". I never thought I'd see it.
But they don't GET why everyone is all pissed off.
Nike just doesn't like all the bad press.
I kinda hope Nike learned some sort of lesson out of all of this.
But I doubt it.

Ugh, they don't get it at all.
"We thought it would be a perfect fit..."
...so we broke copyright laws and abused the rights of the people we admire so much! But we're sorry, ok? So please keep buying our stuff 'cos we really respect hard-core counter-culture dudes like you. Honest!

I guess Nike are probably hoping for a bit of street cred, playing the "we didn't know better" card, and associating themselves with discord/minor thread, in the only way that they can? I hate to sound like the crazy conspiracy theorist friend, but there's no way this was a mistake, it has to have all been carefully calculated(they fuck Discord over, then act humbly and apologise), I can't imagine how many legal people a corp such as Nike would have to get their stuff looked over by before they publish.
I'm tired, I hope that makes sense.
