BatMAN not BatBABY
Ok, so it's Saturday night and you really, really want to see the new (and very dark) 'Batman Returns' flick. But alas, you forgot that you and your beloved have reproduced and you have not booked a sitter for the little devil's spawn.
YOU:
A) Curse the failures of your chosen birth control and bust open a beer.
B) Book a sitter for next Saturday night, put in a Wiggles DVD and hope the little one doesn't notice you and your beloved makin' nookie on the sofa.
C) Bundle up little Timmy and head out to the movies anyway. Other movie goers be damned, they can put up with a little crying, my kid is just that cute.
If you answered 'C' and you live in Sydney, they hey, you must have been one of the TWO couples that were at the showing that we were at last night.
And you owe me $30.

Amen...my wife and I went to see "Crash" a little while ago and the theater was full of mostly elderly folks, and sad to say, they were worse than crying babies or hyperannoying teenagers.
When we have kids, I'm not taking them anywhere until they can walk on their own and feed themselves...

There was an old couple a few seats down from us on our row who apparently felt all of us needed to know how shocked and surprised they were by various plot twists - I don't think they ever heard the term "inside voice." The guy behind us talking to his female the friend the entire time about how he thinks he'd be a good stand-up comedian (because his friends tell him he's funny) was an added bonus

and of course, that was about the total of all the people in the place - they can never space out, we just seem to be an idiot magnet in movie theaters...
