open letter to certain patrons
To whom is may concern,
These are costers
These are library books
Please do not confuse the second for the first.
I would venture to say that a good 1/4 of the books at our library have rings on the front of them from where some people have put drinks on them and guess what? Those rings don't come off, ever.
So look, next time you are at the pub, stick one of those paper coasters in your pocket and take it home and when you get the urge to set your glass of nightime water down on your library book use the friggin coaster instead, MK???
