happy november

This month I've been trying to learn how to use my camera properly. Not just turn it onto the auto setting and push the button. Lucky for me my hubby has a degree in photography (yes, he is handy). So every day this month I took my trusty camera everywhere I went and each week Rob taught me a little about film speed, aperture, shutter speed, etc.
I feel like I know a little more about how to take a good photo. Not a great photo (yet!) but a good photo.

Here's a slide show of the pics I took, just in case you are interested....

Those are awesome photos. Your cat has very interesting eyes, and the mouth shot is too cute. Thanks for sharing.

My degrees are in criminology and computer network engineering, which explains my horrible photography. Would it be possible to solicit some qualified advice? I'm trying to take a pic of the screen on my PSP while it's in use with my 3.1 MP HP camera and it all just comes out real blurry and illegible.

Thanks Carrie! It is a work in progress.

Matt, does your camera have a macro setting? (mine looks like a little flower), it might help. Also don't use a flash, just a little bit of window light to cut down on the glare and maybe use a tripd if you have one. Hope it helps....

heh, amazingly I found a post on pspfanboy.com that posed and answered this exact q. If there's one thing I love about the world, it's that somewhere, someone is wondering the exact same thing I am, only he/she knows the answer :)
