yarn and more

yarn, originally uploaded by gadgetgirl.

Yesterday after work I popped into the Mosman Village Art & Craft Market. It happens every month just outside of where I work, but I'm never working at the times when it is on (saturdays) so I always miss it. But for Christmas the run it on thursdays so I just had to go.
As it turns out Lisa G has a stall. Sydney knitters will know that name, she is a local knitter/crafty/business lady who sells beautiful yarns and needles. We had a good ole chat and she told me about an SnB at a North Sydney pub (yeah pub knitting!) and that she has a blog. very cool.
Oh, and I picked up some of her beautiful yarn. hmmm, what to knit, what to knit...

Ooh, that looks like that recycled sari silk stuff! Very pretty. (Although Miss Jane got some at the Craft Show last year and knitted it and said it's MURDER on your hands.)

Apparently if you wash it, it gets softer. But it's so purdy. I've been wanting to buy the fibers to spin with for yonks, but banned myself from buying new fiber, because my room has gotten ridiculous.
Make a little neckwarmer!

yeah, I've heard about washing it, I"ll probably do that after I knit it up, just because I started knitting it last night...I am so impatient...
