whoda thunk?
Last week, while I was in Melbourne, I was riding in the lift with my drummer friend chatting away when this couple got into the lift with us.
The lady of the couple started to stare at me. I thought it might be the American accent...I get that a lot in Sydney.
Anyway, we keep chatting and the lady of the couple interrupts and says, 'excuse me, do you work at such and such library?'* She bloody recognised me from my work!
Here I am riding with a Grammy nominated drummer and I'm the one who gets noticed.
It was just nuts!

Is it some sort of magical library, where the books dance out of the shelves and the card catalog is made out of talking candy?
