memories....
You know how after a big night out, for the next few days you have those, 'oh yeah, I forgot about that' moments? (mostly memories of things you would rather forget...)
Well, I've been having those moments, not remembering a big night out but my trip to the hospital.
As I was lying in bed last night I was thinking about the CT Scan that I had. I remember that while they were wheeling me to the room where they do the scans about all I could do was stare up at the ceiling as it whizzed by.
And, well, how do I say this?
The ceiling was down right disgusting!
There were huge wet stains, missing and cracked tiles and some very dodgy wires hanging down all over the place. It looked very Cook County, not Royal North Shore.
I guess, from my point of view, anywhere where people are commonly on their backs people should take a bit care with the ceilings. Places like hospitals, dentists and maybe brothels.
But maybe its just me...
And then while I was having the CT scan I suddenly remembered that scene from the Exorcist where they take the little possessed girl to the hospital for a similar scan. And if I remember correctly, she freaked out, all moaning and thrashing about.
Maybe the scans have improved a bit since 1973, but it was nothing to get all stressed out about. I remember thinking that the devil was a bit of a pussy to be all freaking out like that.
But from the scan I learned that my 'cerebellar tonsils' are a wee bit on the abnormal side, within an acceptable range, but still friggn' abnormal! (Rob seems to think that this part of your brain is the part that makes you worry, bah!)
Did I mention that was my first ever CT Scan? I kinda wish I could have gotten a pic of my brain, that would have been so cool!
Next time.

When I saw the title of this post, my first thought was Ren & Stimpy singing "Meeeem-oriiiieees..."

you should be able to get a copy of it. I got one of my kid's freakishly large head for his neurology appointment at another hospital. Nothing wrong with him, except the sattelites that are3 pulled into orbit about his head.
sitck it on your scanner with a piece of vellum or tissue paper behind it, and put an even, but bright light source3 behind and then you can show what's in your head to the world.

j-that's *exactly* what I was thinking too! you know me too well
e-very cool! I'll have to see if my GP can get a copy of it for me. glad to know that your sire's head size is merely cosmetic. ;)
