*steps up on soapbox*
Ok, so get this.
LiveJournal will no longer allow members to have photos depicting breastfeeding at their default user pic.
If one is used you might get a nasty-gram from the management and risk having your blog suspended. Apparently the powers that be at LiveJournal think that photos of breastfeeding are 'inappropriate'.
These LiveJournal gits probably giggle if they see a woman's 'boobie' being used to nourish a child in public.
I knew things in the US were getting more conservative, but I can't believe that we are STILL discussing whether public breastfeeding is appropriate or not. What is this, 1952? Good gracious people.
I guess the whole Janet Jackson thing made the American media freak right out.
Thanks for the heads up, Stringy

OMG, so ID 10 Ts at a target threw a woman out of the fitting rooms for breastfeeding her baby inside the fitting room. I'm so sad I'm done having babies, I would be st that target wandering around with my noisy slurping child while shopping, now where did I put those photos of me with Saffy... Time to sign up for a livejournal blog.....

It's sad that she should have to hide out in the fitting rooms to feed her child.
They are 1D 10 t's at Target.

this is so so sick!!! i'm speechless every time people freak about this. women aren't respected and neither is the role as a mother. it's so appalling - we should be marching the streets about this.

I think you're absolutely correct about the giggling over boobies. I'm really pissed off about this. LJ user "cangetmad" has some breastfeeding icons for anyone who wants to show support.
