Just in case you are like my husband and didn't know about the tradition of cats living in libraries I bring you the Library Cats Map of the World.
And yes, it includes Australia.
I wonder how my manager would feel about getting a cat for my library....somehow I'm don't see it happening.
I love Spencer Public Library resident cat's job description. (scroll down a little). Good job Dewey.

There's a bookstore on King Street in Newtown with a cat. I always see him snoozing in the window whenever we go by...
