Just when I think that I miss winter I get a phone call from my Mom who tells me that she just got 18 inches of snow.
18 inches! Forget about it. Just look at these photos.
I'll keep my hot Decembers thank you very much.

It's the Nike swoosh. I seriously thought it was a joke.
It was 84 here yesterday and will be at least 80 today. We are expecting a cold front though. Highs reaching in the upper 60s on Monday and Tuesday. I should break out the parka and gloves. :D
I'm with you, I really don't miss the cold anymore.

@eightmie-They not only closed district 150, but also Northwoods Mall AND Bradley University.

when I read your post I thought, now my mom hasn't called me, and then I checked my voicemail, there it was, waist deep high snow in her back yard.

Not only did BU close and District 150, but so did State Farm, in the 5 yrs I worked there we never closed for anything (tornadoes, snow, etc..) Pretty crazy to think that today is Sunday and our town is still trying to dig out. All the main roads are pretty much iced over and down to one lane either direction....dont you miss Peoria now Amy?

oh yes, you know I miss that sooooo much (did I mention that in the almost 10 years that I've lived in Australia I've seen snow a grand total of 3 times)
