Am I the only one who just found out about the whole 'Alan Smithee' thing?
The story goes that up until 1999, if a director didn't want their name attached to a film that they were working on(probably because it smelled like year old gouda!) they would just use the name Alan Smithee instead. Go fig.
Check out this list of films 'directed' by Alan Smithee. Ok, there are some stinkers, but some are ok.
