sorry about the shouting....and the brackets....

ABC 2 is rerunning Race Around The World, arguably the ORIGINAL reality TV show. (it ran about a million year before Amazing Race)

Race originally aired on Aussie TV ten, count them TEN, years ago when we first moved to Sydney, and I still love it. (the city and the TV show)
Race introduced Australia to the ever whiny, crazy and insightful John Safran, who to this day still makes me laugh and gets under my skin. (I don't care what the critics say, he's #1 in my books, rock on John!) John has gone on to do Music Jamboree (here are a few clips if you can't play the DVD in your local area, otherwise do yourself a favour and get your ass to JB HiFi and drop the $30, mk?)

So it you have ABC 2 and are in Sydney, dammit, turn on Race Around The World! It's a bit of Aussie TV history.

I mean really, where else can you see someone place an actual voodoo curse on their ex girlfriend?
Where I ask you?!?!?!?

-gg (who has had a beer or two and realized tonight that the TV that she watched when she first moved to Sydney is officially retro)

Race Around The World was so awesome. I love John Safran. Do you listen to Sunday Night Safran with John and Father Bob? It's on triple J, but also available as a podcast. Brilliant stuff.
