feelin' good

So Saturday I ran a photobooth at Shoreshocked, a youth festival here in Sydney. The pics turned out pretty darn good (if I may say so). I'd like to thank Paul for his inspiration! You rock!
The day was awesome, the young people were so fun and the music was great. I hope we get to do this same project next year.

so it goes

I just found out that Kurt Vonnegut died.

I've read just about all of his work. I was just looking at the Vonnegut entry at Wikipedia and I can't belive that The Sirens of Titan came out in 1959 and Slaughterhouse Five in 1969. Wow. It is amazing to me how they are still so relevant today.

I can remember devouring them in high school and just being blown away by both the simpicity and the complexity of the stories. Such good stuff. He made me appreciate how a simple turn of phrase can hold so much power.

Oh jeez, and Breakfast of Champions? What can I say? It still makes me laugh and cry in just a few turns of the page.

If you haven't seen the Jon Stewart interview with Kurt, go watch it right NOW! I SOOO want to be that fiesty when I'm in my 80's!

So Kurt, wherever you are, rage on, we'll keep on fighting the good fight.

We're back.
We climbed, ate, drank and climbed some more
We saw a wallaby, played dominoes found Point Perpendicular.
And the ants in Nowra are HUGE!

Happy Easter

Some people colour eggs at Easter. I colour my hair.
Maybe my new red hair will make me climb faster this weekend.

When I get off of work today we will drive down to Nowra for a couple of days of climbing.
