One good drop?
No, really. We saw this on Border Security last night.
Bascially there is this small marsupial called the paradoxurus, or 'luwak', that likes the taste of ripe coffee berries. The lewak eat them, digest them and then, well, you can guess the next step.
Then, and this is where is gets a little crazy, people actually go out and collect the coffee filled cat poo, roast it and then make coffee from it. They say some enzyme in the luwak's stomach ferments the beans and adds 'something special'.
People will swallow anything.
Hey, I wonder if I can get Sparky to eat some coffee berries...maybe I can get in on some of this action. Considering its $160 a pound for this coffee from a scrungy bush beast, what do you think people will pay for coffee that passes through a pampered, pristine exotic cat. Oh, we could call it a 'Turskish' roast. hmmm....
Where is that cat?
