shallow (update)
I figured something out today.
I don't like toe cleavage.
I need a good pair of black shoes for work and they seem to all be cut really far down this season. Where's a girl meant to find a good pair of nice Mary Janes in Sydney? (and I've been looking at Camper...the ones I like they don't have in my size, hurmph)

Well, after many phone calls and too much driving around Sydney I am the proud owner of a black pair Mary Jane style Hush Puppies (the style is called 'Dance' for those playing at hime.) And the bonus? They were on sale! How cool is that? I might just go back and buy them in red)

I think I searched for two months before I found a pair of Mary Janes that I was able to wear without disgust. It took another couple of months to find some I loved. I ended up finding them in a hole in the wall shoe store. Got any of those near you? Good luck!

Can you get Danskos in Australia? My Dansko Mary Janes are the cheese. I'm on my third year in them, and they still look great. Plus they're great for being on your feet all day like a librarian.

Hole In The Wall...I'll try Chinatown, there are lots of those there. And sadly no Danskos, but as much as it pains me I might go to the Kumfs store over the weekend, most of their shoes are pretty lame but there are a couple at the bottom of this page that don't look too aweful:

I got a great pair of Mary Janes (pretty much Camper knockoffs, but high quality) at Raben Shoes on George Street. I wear them ALL THE TIME.
