sweet shot
Wow
Kurt and Courtney both look so happy in this photo. But I guess when you are going to be on the cover of Sassy, you need to muster up at least a smirk.

Riddle me this
SO last night after the gym, Rob and I stopped in at the local for some dinner. As it turned out it was trivia night at the pub. As we came in a full hour after the trivia started we didn't join in, choosing to sit on the other side near the big screen TVs.
But not before we did hear one intriguing question:
What annual sporting event has the most in person spectators? Over 10 million annually. ( and we are not people watching on TV, spectators actually there watching)
Luckily we did get the answer before we left...
Any thoughts?

Red Letter Night
Oh, so I was walking in the city last night going to meet Rob and an overseas visitor for dinner and I had a star sighting.
I was walking down George and I saw Tetsuya Wakuda. I was talking to Rob on the phone when I saw him and I got all geeky and tongue tied. Rob was trying to get me to go up to him, but I just couldn't. I mean, what do you say to a world famous chef when you see him walking down the street? "Hey Wakuda, I've been to your restaurant a few times, nice grub!" Nah, I just kept on going to meet my friends.
Oh, and then I went bought some leggings.

NONBLOGGERS
I've decided to have a little clean up here at casa del gadgetgirl. I used to have a blog roll over there on my sidebar so I could keep on top of blogs that I like and it's always nice to flog your friend's stuff, ya know?
Well, I started using Bloglines to keep on top of the ever growing list of blogs I visit (144 and counting..) and I didn't want to have a huge list on my sidebar...but I didn't want to NOT link to my friends' blogs....so I've pulled the links and put them into posts that will now be in the sidebar.
Did that make any sense??? Anyway, it is done.

put it on the list
Wow, how cool is the restaurant? What's not to love about a restaurant in a friggin tree?!?!?
I think this might call for another trip to New Zealand. We haven't been in a few years and this just might be a good excuse...
But seriously, check out these pics. I just love how this place is lit at night, looks like a space ship landed in the middle of a forest.
Apparently the whole thing started as a promotion for the NZ Yellow Pages. Man, that's what I call thinking outside of the box!
Cool

Nice one
Aussie's have some pretty colourful slang, I was reminded of one of them last night when I was driving home and listening to the ABC. They were talking to the director of the Sydney Festival and discussing events they had run over the years. One of the director's favourite events from last year was a concert by Brian Wilson.
The director decribed Wilson as:
'Mad as a cut snake' (definition #2)
I just love that saying. It makse me smile every time I hear it.

insult + injury
I'm sure everyone's heard how the Obama's have been bumbped from the Blair House and are staying in a nearby hotel while they prepare to move into the White House.
But did you hear who they got bumped for?
Friggin John Howard! He's not even a head of state anymore! He's not a minister or anything! Jeez. That is so slack!
January 20 cannot come fast enough.
