Dirty Art (no, not like that)

So let's say you are an artist.
And let's say you live at the end of a mile ling dirt road.
What do you do?

Use your ever-dirty windshields as canvas of course!

This ingenious artist Scott Wade, sees amazing things in the mundane. Kinda craps all over the 'wash me' or smiley face I usually draw. Check out more of his work herehttp://www.dirtycarart.com/DCAGallery/index.html
So inspirational.

Best of the Web

1. Rainbow cake- yes, I know people have make rainbow cakes before...but this one is utterly amazing
2. Things you can/can't freeze- I didn't know you could freeze nuts or fresh whipped cream. Interesting
and lastly...
3. The most incredible thing I have ever seen ever ever. If anyone is thinking of getting me something for Christmas (or just for Thursday) this is the thing....an actual working WAND! For real real (not for play play) I think I popped a vein when I read about this one.

at the MCA

at the MCA, originally uploaded by gadgetgirl.

On Talk Like A Pirate Day I was stopped in front of the MCA. They were doing this project where people could sit and talk to an artist for a while and after the talk decide if they wanted to share pie with the artist or pie them in the face.

I sat with a Perth based theatre guy who was in visiting Sydney. He was a nice guy, interested in why I was wearing pirate garb.

After we chatted for a while and finally I asked him if he had been pied that day.

He said no.

Then I asked him if he wanted to get pied....

He said, us, YES!

So, on the front lawn of the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney I did something I never thought I would ever do.

I threw a pie into a stranger's face.

And now there is photographic evidence of it in the MCA. So if you are in town have a look.

Tossed and Found (Janet will love this one)
White Bean Soup (great for these wet Sydney days, also good without the bacon)
Milk Carton Coin Purse
Fabric calendar (so much potential cuteness)
Best LOL Ever!
My amazingly happy nephew Gavin, he's too cute!
