'better busy than bored'
I get bored very easily (aka short attention span) so I like to keep myself busy. I say this at work all the time when it is really busy, mostly because I like a fast pace.

'The god is in the detail'
OK, OK before you start, I know this quote is reported to be from Mies van der Rohe. But what can I say, I'm a sucker for freaky German architects.
But anyway, I use this quote all the time. I am enchanted by the little stuff. A perfectly made white sauce, a well worded phrase, beautiful buttons, etc. I guess that's why I get off on Vegas so much. Most of the casinos have a theme that they take to the extreme. At Treasure Island the cups, the carpet, even the door handles have a pirate theme. I love it. (some day I'll tell ya about my pirate fixation!)
Maybe it all stems from my sewing. I really appreciate a well made garment because I know the effort that goes into it. Who knows.
Anyway, enjoy!

Just as an aside, as it turns out some have been saying 'the devil is in the detail' (I guess that makes sense), "which has been described as a maxim of the German pop musician Blixa Bargeld", of Einstruerzende Neubauten and The Bad Seeds And I happen to be a fan of both bands. The things you find out when you google....

Ok, so I have this habit of making up little saying (or stealing them from others) and using them over and over and over. They are like my little pearls of wisdom that keep me centered and focused. I thought I might start cataloging them. So here's the first....
Expect the best but prepare for the worst.
This one help SO MUCH in the children's library...you have NO IDEA....
So if you want to check out any future 'gadgetgirlisms' click on 'user info' and then the little heart (aka memories).
